“I recently attended an afternoon tea session conducted by Susmita that I really enjoyed. I have been connected with her on Facebook for some time, and as a tea drinker who wanted to know more about the “proper” way to brew and drink my tea, thought that the event would be both informative and entertaining and I was not disappointed. I had also told Susmita that I was finding it difficult to source good leaf tea in Bangalore, and she offered to help me. As I like my tea to have a lot of colour and flavour I asked for Assam Tea. Susmita said she could get me some Assam Organic Orthodox Black tea. I got the package yesterday, with the tea in 100mg resealable pouches. I steeped a pinch of leaves in boiled water for 3 minutes, and I got a lovely strong Assam tea. I drank 2 large cups this morning..”

“I’ve been trying out her selection of Orthodox Teas for quite a while now and I must say she’s got a very good collection of teas. Growing up in a typical Bengali tea loving family, my tastebuds for fine teas developed quite early and I always find it very difficult to get a good quality Darjeeling from the commercial tea selection available in the market. Susmita Das Gupta solved this problem for me! Now I no longer need to carry huge bags of tea from Kolkata. So far I’ve tried out the Himalayan Silver Needle, Darjeeling First Flush, Oolong, Golden Tips Oolong and a Darjeeling Second Flush as well. My all time favourite one is the Silver Needle, since I prefer a very light brew. But she caters to all taste buds, so do give her teas a try 👍🏻 P.S: Btw she puts in a lot of effort in packaging and always lets in notes on how the tea is to be brewed.”
